5 Adwords Techniques People Use To Make Money Online

Best Blogger Tips

In my last post, I mentioned about adwords as one of the ways to drive traffic to your website. Adwords is simply one of the most powerful tool invented in advertising. It allows your site to be seen by hundreds of people instantly.
While a large number of internet marketers have made money online by using it, an even more number of marketers have their shirts burned overnight by using it. So be careful.
So how do you make money online by using adwords?
Traffic.
Did you remember in our last post the equation: no traffic = no money? Drive traffic to your website by using adwords. Drive visitors to your site by having a compelling ad.
Here are 5 techniques I used to increase the clicks of my adwords:
1. Positioning of the bolded keyword. If you’re into adwords already, you know that when the searcher types a keyword, that keyword appears bolded in the ad. For example, if the searcher types “plasma tv”, the words “plasma” and “tv” will be bolded like this:
Plasma TV Sales
Buy Plasma TV for Les
Next Day Delivery
Many of the advertisers know this and they intentionally use the keyword in their ad. But do you know that you can add a little twist to this?
Here’s How to do it:
Position your keywords on the far left side or the far right side to grab the searcher’s attention. For example:
Buy Plasma TV
Only $1,300 for Plasma TV
Next Day Delivery, Plasma TV
While it may not read that good but hey! It surely grabs the eyeballs!
2. Inclusion of numbers. I don’t know, but the eyes just love numbers. If you put numbers in your headlines, especially those that relate to the product, the clicks simply rise sky-high. Here are 3 headline examples:
a. $1300 Plasma TV
b. $2,142 In Just 11 days?
c. Drop 13 Pounds In 72 Hours
3. Referencing of famous people. When using this technique make sure you do your homework. Check who are the famous people using the product you are offering.
Here’s an an example:
Remove Excess Fat Now
Transform Your Body In 2 Weeks
(Britney Spears Used This)
Also notice the use of parenthesis which added the power to this ad. Always remember to do this legally and properly. This technique is extremely potent.
4. Capitalizing the first letters. Well, this was what I first learned when I started Google Adwords. This little tweak could exponentially increase your CTR.
Change the first letter of every word of your ad to the Upper Case. This includes the following:
Headline
Description Line 1
Description Line 2
Display URL
Here’s an example:
adwords-sample1.bmp
5. Shorten Ad. This is seldom used by advertisers. But with almost everybody doing the same thing with adwords, doing something different could significantly push your CTR thru the roof.
Most of the advertisers would try to maximize the number of characters allowed by Google – 95 characters total. But to be recognized be different.
Original Ad:
Buy Canon Camcorder Today
Canon’s ZR800 MiniDV Camcorder
Next Day Delivery at $253.99
New Ad:
Canon Camcorder
Price: $253.99
5% Discount
The sheer slimness of the ad differentiates itself from its competitors. This is also powerful because with this kind of product people only care for one benefit, and that is the price.
Now open your Adwords account and try using these 5 techniques and see your number of clicks explode! By the way, be sure to check you daily budget.

In previous article we have also seenHow to Root Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and now in this article you will be learning about how to install Android 4.0.1 ICS alpha build on HTC HD2.
In receiving port for ICS, HTC HD2 is among the devices of first batch. The release of HTC Leo : HD2 was in 2009 and still there is a good response for this smartphone. Along with Android it can also run on Windows Phone 7 and it came along with Windows Mobile 6.5originally. Depending upon your interest, Ice Cream Sandwich installation can be done on HTC HD2 now. As the ICS build is in Alpha stage there are few features which might work like : Camera, Audio, USB mass storage and 3G data connection. I don’t recommend this installation as all the basic features are being abandoned.So until a beta build shows up it is better to stay away from this installation.
The features that are working are CM3602 Light sensor, CM3602 Proximity sensor, AK8973 Orientation sensor, AK8973 3-axis Magnetic field sensor, BMA150 3-axis Accelerometer, Compass, Charging, Vibration, TouchScreen, SMS, GPS with AGPS support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. So though many features are working, there is still a lack of basic features.
Disclaimer : I don’t personally recommend this procedure, so I don’t hold any responsibility for your loss. You can follow the procedure at your own risk.
You can get the entire Installation procedure from the XDA developers , so head over to their site .

How to add unique meta tags to individual posts ?

Best Blogger Tips
Using meta tags on your blog can increase your search engine ranking and and it gets even better by adding different meta tags for different blog posts. In simple language, meta tags are special HTML codes that gives search engines like Google some needed information about your website such as description, relevant keywords, title, etc. You can however define different meta tags for different pages. This is very useful if you blog on a wide number of topics. Adding different meta tags to individual blog posts makes it easier for bots to crawl and properly index your blog content and this helps in improving your site's ranking and also results in increasing the traffic to your site.

Though major search engines like Google and Yahoo do not put meta keywords into consideration that much like before, including them might still be of help to other search engines that still use them. Meta description is still important as this will be shown in search engine result pages.

Adding different meta tags to blog posts is a white hat on-site search engine optimization technique which isn't hard to implement on Blogspot sites though it still has to be done manually unlike Wordpress with a ready made plug in for this same purpose.

Sample of a general meta tag and how to use it on blogger can be found on this blog post as the one shown below is for specifying unique meta tags for different posts.

<b:if cond='data:blog.url == "BLOG-POST-URL-HERE"'>
<meta content='DESCRIPTION' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS' name='keywords'/>
</b:if>

For this particular blog post, my unique meta tags for it should look just as shown below:

<b:if cond='data:blog.url == "http://yourseogenius.blogspot.com/2011/11/how-to-add-unique-meta-tags-to.html'>
<meta content='How to add different meta tags for different blog posts. This post explains how to use unique meta tags for blog post on blogger.' name='description'/>
<meta content='meta tag, blog, different, unique, search engine ranking, google' name='keywords'/>
</b:if>

Follow this steps to add the meta tags to the head section of your template:

- Login to your blog and click on design

- Click on Edit HTML

- Press CTRL + F and search for </head>

- Just below this, paste all the meta tags.

- Save your template.

Note that you can create different sets of meta tags for all your blog post but this almost impossible if you have a great deal of blog entries. You can apply this method to a couple of your most important blog posts.

Add Floating Share Buttons To Your Blog's Sidebar (For Blogspot)

Best Blogger Tips
Apart from working on traffic and search engine optimization (SEO), there's a need to intergrate your blog with popular social networking platforms. A floating share buttons (social bookmarking) widget by the right of every page is just one of the gadgets you must add to your blog if you intend to get free traffic from facebook and twitter. I wrote a post last week that went viral thanks to the power of facebook sharing. The post received close to 500 facebook likes in just a week! Underestimating the power of share buttons is like neglecting a major source of traffic to your blog. I've already written several posts on integrating your blogger hosted site with facebook, google plus and the rest of them. These posts include adding like buttons to individual blog postsadding google plus buttons to blog posts,facebook comment box for blogger and large share buttons under blog posts among others.

Having a floating share buttons widget makes it even easier for your blog visitors to share your blog posts they find interesting. Unlike the previous ones, it's easy to get this done as you won't need to do any sort of HTML editing on your template. The floating sidebar sharing widget comes with the most popular social sites. You can see the widget just at the right side of this page and it scrolls with the page, leaving your visitor no choice but to share your content.

How To Add Floating Share Buttons On The Sidebar

1. Log in to your blogger account and click on Design

2. You're now looking at your blog's layout, right? Click on Add A Gadget on the sidebar.

3. Select HTML/Java Script

4. Paste the code below into the box and save. There's no need for a title.

<!--SideBar Floating Share Buttons Code Start-->

<style>

#pageshare {position:fixed; bottom:15%; right:10px; float:left; border: 1px solid black; border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;background-color:#eff3fa;padding:0 0 2px

0;z-index:10;}

#pageshare .sbutton {float:left;clear:both;margin:5px 5px 0 5px;}

.fb_share_count_top {width:48px !important;}

.fb_share_count_top, .fb_share_count_inner {-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;}

.FBConnectButton_Small, .FBConnectButton_RTL_Small {width:49px !important; -moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;}

.FBConnectButton_Small .FBConnectButton_Text {padding:2px 2px 3px !important;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;font-size:8px;}

</style>
<div id='pageshare' title="Share This With Your Friends">

<!--SideBar Floating Share Buttons Code End-->

5. Save the widget and preview your blog.

If you already have a google plus button above or below your posts, the one in the widget might not appear. It seems you can't have two +1 buttons on a page.

If you're using a dark template, you can try out the code below if you don't quite like the first one:

<!--SideBar Floating Share Buttons Code Start-->

<style>

#pageshare {position:fixed; bottom:15%; right:10px; float:left; border: 1px solid black; border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;background-color:#000000;padding:0 0 2px

0;z-index:10;}

#pageshare .sbutton {float:left;clear:both;margin:5px 5px 0 5px;}

.fb_share_count_top {width:48px !important;}

.fb_share_count_top, .fb_share_count_inner {-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;}

.FBConnectButton_Small, .FBConnectButton_RTL_Small {width:49px !important; -moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;}

.FBConnectButton_Small .FBConnectButton_Text {padding:2px 2px 3px !important;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;font-size:8px;}
